All Of Us Should Freely Grow Without Feeling Ashamed

I strongly believe that everyone wants to grow.

Growth, to me, occurs when one realizes another perspective on things; when one considers another view. We grow from any encounter. We grow any time we read a book or article. When we hear something pleasant, we grow. When we taste or touch something, we grow.

When we pursue our interests, we grow.

I like the idea of finding out how one wants to grow in this world.

I don’t think growth means trying to meet others’ expectations of growth.

Growth isn’t narrowly defined as accumulating wealth by way of investments and/or being a doctor or pharmacist or accountant.

I would like to encourage someone to grow by way of painting if that is what one wants to spend time on. I would encourage that person to seek out artists’ circles and find work in galleries. Maybe that person can be a curator in addition to creating their own art.

If one wants to excel in a sport, then there ought to be a network of coaches and gyms that may have connections. I would encourage someone who is interested in sports to pursue their athletic interest.

I would never insist that someone grow according to how I think that person should grow.
