I remember when I was 17 and applying for university. It was autumn 2004 and I made up my mind to go to university out of state. (Growing up, I’ve always envisioned going to university far from Massachusetts. I love Massachusetts but I had stayed in Boston my whole life, didn’t travel anywhere and wanted to be out of the control and temper of my mother.)
