You tell me that I am dog shit.

I hear you and believe you.

According to you, I am an obese good-for-nothing, though I’m five foot six and one hundred and thirty pounds.

‘Do you hear me?

Do you hear me?’ you ask.

Yes, I hear you.

You tell me that you wish that I were at least a millionaire and why am I a lazy nobody that not a single person wants to be friends with. To you, I’m someone that no one wants to glimpse at.

You tell me, ‘You have no money. Without me, you wouldn’t dress well. You don’t have a real job. All you do is talk in your stupid job. Where’s your respect for yourself?’

I hear you every day.

You tell me, ‘You are too hard to look at because you look so pitiful. Who wants to be near you when you make little money? You should be embarrassed of yourself for speaking to people who hardly speak English. You are so lousy. You don’t have any skills.’

I hear you tell me these things several hours a day.

‘You are stupid, stupid, stupid. All you do is waste time. You suck as a person.’

You ask, ‘Do you hear me? Do you hear me? Do you hear me? Listen to me!!! Why does nobody take what I say seriously?!’
