A patchwork of fluffy red, yellow, orange and brown

with slight green curves running through them

They look like layered blotches from a distance

on a hill.

Walking around every morning twice around

my university campus felt like eternal

joy all the while moving.

There were two hills that opened up two chances

for me to see the autumn view of the distant

massive, living inclines ahead.

I pushed myself more upon reaching

the base of those two hills

and it was worth doing so as I

felt strongly for those brief scenes

of pre-winter eye candy.
