I will live long enough to see your 90th birthday.

I am close to being 100 years old, I know.

I know that we are 13 years apart too.

I don’t want to think about how much older I am than you.

I have always focused on wanting to wake up one more day so I can see you;

one more day of seeing your fair features and feeling the warmth of your arms and chest.

I ask and ask for more time to love you here on Earth.

I am aware that you may not want to live any longer when I leave this world.

I tell you to please continue to live for our son and his children but you tell me that you can’t without me.

I will live for as long as I can for you. I don’t want to stop feeling this intense love for you;

this feeling transcends my continuing hope to get out of bed and see the sun rise or the rain fall, standing outside on the grass.

Please feel free to write to me: debbie.barrygoode@gmail.com

Have a wonderful day.
