Layers of Rock and Water

To the layers of rock and water,

I say,

“Hello, what are you doing here,

layers of rock and water?”

They are so breath-taking,

water overflowing from one layer

of rock to the layer below,

to the layer below,

and to all the other layers below,

to the miniature lake

rich in ripples, splashes and foam

with a large growth of bushes

and tiny, tiny trees with long flowing

leafy hair, all in a group of their own

in a city without cares and second looks

from people who are drowned in lies

and tricky gossip.

I am willing to live like the layers

of rock and water. The water is as water

in a mini heaven should be.
