“Man Is Heaven and Woman is Earth”

The Chinese say that “Man is the Sun and Woman is the Moon”.

The Koreans say that “Man is Heaven and Woman is Earth”.

I say that Man is not the Sun,

Man is not Heaven.

I see Man as being as vulnerable as me.

I never expect him to ‘naturally’ know how to do household repairs,

or how to change a tire or do an oil change,

or like baseball or football.

I don’t Man to be much different from me.

It’s not fair to expect Man to be strong

when he just wants to stay in his room

all by himself and not face anyone.

I don’t expect him to take seeing violent

images better than I can.

I acknowledge that he has feelings

too and I’d be happy to listen to him

if he needs someone to pour his heart out to.

I strongly disagree with one who says,

“He’s not a man because he doesn’t know

anything about how to mix concrete

or unclog a drain, and he needs help
