Nobody Owes Me Friendship

Gang members also have friends.

I have thought for a while about how everyone is different and that I am nobody to think that a bully, abusive spouse, and hard criminals wouldn’t have any people who are drawn to them.

I am of the opinion that just because someone is kind doesn’t mean that that person would have many friends.

We can’t broadly generalize that nice people usually win.

I’ve known many generous and hospitable people who always end up alone.

I’ve realized that many mean people have admirers.

People are not always going to admire those with a lot of empathy; there are many who admire someone’s fashion sense only and others who admire the way another walks and talks to people.

Human beings are not so narrow that they would immediately be attracted to stories that tell about compassion.

I want to say that there are many people who don’t care for those who commit acts of kindness for their own reasons.

I don’t condone harmful behavior at all but there is a reason why some people choose to be cruel and seek other people who would help them hurt others.

We can’t know what drives anyone.
