Number One Priority

I don’t feel that anyone cares to have an authentic connection anymore.

Why are people afraid of connecting deeply?

How is connecting with someone not a priority?

This message is all over the place:

Today, I ate a bit of cinnamon babka from Trader Joe’s. I tried a little bit of peppermint stick ice-cream (the brand is Gifford’s, a family business located in Maine). I ate one coconete (a ginger-coconut cookie extremely popular in the Dominican Republic).

I’m concerned about political activists in Belarus and Myanmar.

The other day, I thought about the millions of Syrian refugees still living in Turkey and I wonder how they are faring.

I wonder about homeless people in Australia.

I wonder about the sudden coronavirus outbreak in Hong Kong now where a recent lock-down has just been imposed.

I feel sad when I see young people sitting on sidewalks here in Boston, hoping for passersby to give them some money.

Have you noticed some cars stuffed with possessions?

Has anyone asked you for some money upon seeing you walk by recently?

Do you sometimes wonder about trans youth not accepted by their families?
