As an expat, I understand when some expats curse at locals, talk badly about the place where they’re expats in with their friends, do crazy stunts on the street because they think since they’re foreign, they can get away with certain behaviors (as was the case many times in Chinese cities I traveled to, for example; including one young man who rode around in his bike in circles singing at the top of his lungs in the middle of the day with Chinese passersby staring at…
