Simple Dream and the Sunset

The sunset’s pinks and purples splashed at my face, attempting to tease me into happiness, even though, in truth, it was sad.

I stood on the balcony in bare feet, adorned in a silky pink dress with a long skirt covering my ankles and a matching scarf tied around my neck. The whole length of the dress went above my knees.
