That's exactly me too! I was reprimanded many times by others for going off on my own. I was always reminded about how dangerous it was to do that. One professor in university told me that she rejected my application to go to Argentina with her and other students because I had the reputation of going off on my own a lot. Being off in one's own world is a good thing!
