The Ambulance Never Arrived

I dreamed of my father falling into a hole and begging for help.

One of his ankles was swollen. He writhed in pain as I looked down into the hole he fell into.

We were in an urban environment.

I don’t know why but I felt no sense of urgency in getting emergency assistance.
