I don’t want you to tell me that at least I’ve not been burned with hot metal.,

and that at least I have not been tied up and beaten with a kendo stick

or baseball bat, or made to be dehydrated, or received left and right hooks

to the face, or put in a freezer, or made to sleep with the lights on 24/7,

or forced to starve, or subjected to forced labor, or made to wear the same

clothes for days, or stand outside in 40-degree weather or less,

or obligated to stand in your room to watch you sleep while not being

allowed to sleep.

I don’t want you to tell me that at least I have not been put into an excruciatingly

tortured position for hours, or forced not to ever read, or forbidden to use a phone.

You don’t need to repeatedly tell me that other people have it worse

when you don’t care what they go through.

You use ‘other people’ as examples to justify that your treatment of me is just.

You think that it’s okay to say any bad thing you want for as long as you want.

You think that it’s fine to make me feel so sad that I become hot inside with fury
