The church bell goes Bong! Bong! Bong!

I awake from my brief slumber, gasping.

The window behind the night table,

next to me, is cracking, shattering

and releasing frustration.

There is a snow flurry

and something white

has come through.

The big crack of the window

reveals a ghost of a man

breathing out cold air,

trespassing my room

and is sorry. I cannot hold

his hand. I cannot make him

human again to find

out who he is.
