What Does It Mean to Suffer Trauma?
I have always hated horror films.
Whenever I see people in distress, I feel like they are me. I tend to cry out on those rare occasions when I watch one as if I were the one in pain.
I’ve watched a few horror game play-throughs (where a PC game player records playing an entire game and uploads it for people to watch) and it’s gotten me to think about why horror films are around.
I have thought about how some people in this world have numbed themselves not to feel much when another is scared of getting killed. I often wonder about the psychology of people who don’t empathize with someone who flinches or shrinks away from fear.
Horror films are a kind of entertainment for many people. It can be fairly said that watching horror films is one way to have fun.
I am reminded of how many people somewhere are harmed and if there is a way to prevent these wrongdoings from happening. These films have ended up making me more conscious of how important behavioral health awareness is.
I’ve gotten to thinking about how it is that for so many people out there empathy is absent.
There are many reasons that people turn to hurting others as a way to live.
