Why Men Leave Me Unnoticed

I don’t think anyone would fall for me since I didn’t graduate

from a prestigious university,

or have a huge trust fund waiting for me later in life,

and I’m smaller than even an A cup

and I don’t have washboard abs,

or have a high-powered career,

and I have almost no friends.

None of my possessions cost a thousand dollars.

I honestly admit that I can’t cook, though I love to eat.

I spend my days wandering around and thinking hard about things

that I have no influence over.

I try to make my only sibling feel better

instead of figuring out how to make a positive impact

on a large number of people.

I find myself retreat and hide more often

than going out to face people.

Instead of putting my energy into taking courses

to better myself, or making an hours-long effort

to look for a better job daily, I mope and sulk.

I don’t watch makeup, knitting, fitness or crocheting
