Why Would I Do Anything For You?’
‘Why would I do anything for you? What makes you different?’
I have stood by you when no one thinks much of you.
I have gotten to know you as you are and have learned to accept you.
I have thought about how to add wonderful experiences to your life by suggesting that we go to museums, the movie theater and restaurants.
I have ordered delicious takeout for you to try and have shared snacks with you. I’ve made sure to have your first meal of the day ready for you when you wake up.
I have defended you when people have said that you were a loser, lazy, and asked why you refuse to work.
I ask you about the games that you play and the Twitter posts that you read and the videos that you watch.
I make sure to promptly check out the posts that you send me via WhatsApp.
I try to go on walks with you because I admit that you make walks interesting.
I know that you are always tired and don’t want to obligate you to help out with chores.
I always think about how to earn more money for you.
I asked you to help me with one thing and you hurt me deeply.
